FMB Stove Repairs is a family-run business, founded in 2020, repairing and installing cooking appliances across Western Sydney, the Hawkesbury and the lower Blue Mountains.
We started because the appliance repair trade had a reputation problem: hourly rates that turned a twenty-minute job into an open-ended bill, quotes that moved between the phone call and the invoice, and four-hour windows that swallowed a customer’s whole day. We built the business to not work like that.
Fixed price, not by the minute
Our call-out and labour is capped at $140 + GST. Not an hourly rate. If the job takes twenty minutes, that is the price; if it takes most of the morning, it is still the price. Parts are charged at the manufacturer’s recommended price and we tell you the cost before we fit anything.
We also publish starting prices for the most common part replacements, where the figure covers the call-out, the labour and the part together. They are listed on the repairs page — no phone call required to find out what an oven element costs.

How we keep the price down
We plan our work geographically rather than criss-crossing Sydney. A van that spends its morning driving is a van that is not fixing anything, and someone has to pay for that hour. Planning the routes properly means you do not. Check your postcode to see whether you are in our area.

What we work on
Cooking appliances are the specialisation — ovens, stoves, gas and electric cooktops, ceramic and induction cooktops, and rangehoods — and we also handle dishwashers, dryers, fridges and washing machines. Domestic rather than commercial. All the common Australian brands.
One thing worth knowing: if your oven door glass has shattered and the manufacturer no longer supplies a replacement, we can manufacture one. It is the most common reason a perfectly good oven gets thrown out.
